A Memo to the Next President on Winning in Afghanistan

Good article, I have a feeling that President Trump wont be looking for a tie or a withdrawal. Trump is a big ego guys who loves to win. He is also a patriot. He has surrounded himself with capable experienced military leaders. I expect Trump to employ every strategy that his field commanders recommend and I expect him to loosen the ROIs so that the enemy realizes that any attack on an America is a really bad idea.

Interesting read. While I don't disagree with the authors view, the feeling I get is the American people are pretty war weary and willing to pull out of Afghanistan regardless of the consequences.

We will have to see what direction Trump wants to go.
