The Nautilus in Groton, CT is definitely a amazing visit. Even a few sailors taking tours through the museum served while she was at sea. One of the times I was there on the tour I was lucky enough, and honored by having Captain Pete Tzomes give the tour. Captain Tzomes was the first African American submariner and officer in the United States. Sadly, he passed away last year, but if you are at this museum you can buy his biography discussing what he went through in this position as well as supporting his family.

Yeah, I was going to mention the Nautilus as the first Nuclear ship to be made into a museum.
