The whole thing is funny and sad considering they starved him and probably caused hsi death with their poking and prodding and unsanitary medical habits at the time

SPC Britanny *Winnie* Balthaser - Infection was the leading cause of death from GSW and battle injuries back then.
Thanks for sharing. This is definitely an interesting topic. Blood letting also played a big part in many deaths because doctors thought exposing the blood would allows fevers to exit the body. Thank God we have moved forward.
