Thanks SGT John " Mac " McConnell for honoring US Navy Admiral Arleigh Albert Burke on his birthday by sharing the 1963 film a "salute to Admiral Arleigh Burke" which includes scenes recreating his childhood, USNA at Annapolis, MD, and WWII naval scenes including Japanese Navy footage and German army, and air force Footage and then the attack on Pearl Harbor.

SGT John " Mac " McConnell The Admiral was wheelchair bound by the time of the ship's commissioning. They used an elevator to get him to the bridge of the ship. He was a great man.
