A US father fears for his young children trapped in Syria

My heart weeps for this poor man. He hasn't been able to locate his children, but after going to Syria and searching for them he actually found several other American kids and got them back to the states. Hope he one day finds his son and daughter.

Thank you SPC Angela Burnham for posting the "news" that Bashirul Shikder is blaming the current President of the USA since Bashirul lost track of his son and daughter Yusuf and Zahra who were taken by their mother to Syria while former President Obama was POTUS.
It is good news that he "while looking for his children last summer in the al-Hol refugee camp — a tent city of about 70,000 people displaced from former ISIS territory — Shikder said he found a 3-year-old American boy."
No surprise that CNN is emphasizing blame for the current POTUS instead of blaming ISIS member Rashida Sumaiya [his ex-wife], ISIS, Turkey, Assad, etc.
The USA is not the world's policeman. Syria is more complicated than Iraq is [which is complicate enough]. I am thankful we are pulling the bulk of our conventional forces from Syria even while other assets are strategically employed.
From our perspective, Syria is primarily a Department of State issue not a DoD issue IMHO.

I hope they do CPL Gary Pifer, because those children deserve better than being abandoned in a foreign warzone.
