This is what traditionally happens when folk watch only one news outlet and don't read. Our government included.

By what do you mean? In what way is this message from China being reported wrong? More over, the message from China has always been this; it's nothing new to the military community. So what am I missing from your assumption?

MAJ James Woods - Not being reported wrong. The fact that its being reported is whats' funny.
"This is not new. We always known this would be China's stance and public statement"
Exactly. None of it is new. It happens every so many administrations. And the end result is always the same. So the fact that people "in the street" are worrying about it (some even calling it the "next Cuban missile crisis") is just downright hilarious.
To me anyway...

PO3 Donald Murphy - So your statement about "This is what traditionally happens when folk watch only one news outlet and don't read." really has no basis on the article or my initial statement since the same message is being reported across multiple news outlets.

No basis on the article itself. And not meant as an insult either. Merely to point out that the end result will be the same as it has been through multiple administrations since 1960. And the more China gets favored trading status, the more the end result is even more predictable.

Still, it's great to hear. Assures the good guys, and may deter the Jonger (maybe, a little)
