The same arguments for the most part are still being used, they just have shifted targets. My marriage would be unlawful here in Delaware if these two brave people had not taken a stand and other good people had not decided to help then.

A debt is owed to people who still face senseless bigotry.

Preconceived notions are terrible, it's when people push the boundaries and say damn them I will do what is right for me- that's when society's horizons are broadened. Bottom line we need to LOVE not hate-good for them!

There is a difference between NAMBLA and ignorance, or interracial marriage. Interracial marriage is between consenting adults- pedophilia, NAMBLA, marrying to children is done without their consent and out of the spectrum of my thought

Agreed wholeheartedly, morality should never be trumped by "broadening of the senses" . It just seems to me that if 1 person is a child, unable to consent, that no matter how the other sees it, its pedophilia, it is rape, not love, not broadening of anything. We as a society have to protect our children, not throw them to the wolves. With all that said, I still believe a marriage, between 2 consenting adults is nobody's business but their own. We should stay out of it and wish them the best

PO1 John C. - There are places in the US where marrying your 14 year old cousin is legal now and always has been. marrying your fist Cousin is l;egal in about half of the US and most of the world. What yo are using as a bad example is pretty much considered normal in most places

PO1 John C. - I agree on the age paret i was just commenting on how uncommon it was, at the risks among cousins are very very small except with geographical limited areas. Statical there is almost no difference and it is less risking than having a mother that smokes. Birth defect rates in japan, Canada, the UK and where cousin marriage is legal are not very different than in the US.
