Maybe they should have. Or how about the families of Americans who lost their job to illegals? That would make a good picture, but when Time with its liberal agenda pushes things like this it is oh so terrible. or how about the people killed south of the border which causes the problem to begin with?

Sad but true. I may not agree with it or not, but well too late for that now. We are a fickled nation; keep them out, don't give them healthcare, or a dirvers Licensce, but keep them together and send them back with a clean bill of health?! I can't figure out what the frack were doing on immigration any more, we let cry babies dictate policy on some giant social media platform. Wait till they get the bill for all of this. Oh wait they have a plan for this...tax the working stiff.

Kirk...great point, I had not thought about that one yet. I also feel that the one party pushing this is so concerned about the mid term elections that they'll do whatever they can to secure enough votes to ensure they win. I ask everyone who makes comments on this topic where were these same people years ago when it was happening? They respond with either silence or more BS.

Capt Dwayne Conyers - The history of slavery is a bleak one. That said, it isn't as black and white as most people have been taught. Black people in Africa captured and sold black people to slavers. Some freed slaves in the newly minted USA also bought and bred slaves. Some black people indentured themselves to service for the cost of a boat ticket. There were Irish slaves, Chinese slaves and native American slaves. Why do some people have to make this a black and white issue only? Why can't forgiveness occur so we can move forward? Why do some people relish in the past?

I am a cynic. I don't believe the Democrat elected officials much care. The point right now is to try and find a wedge issue that will energize likely Democrat voters and Democrat leaning independents, without also energizing Republicans and Republican leaning independents.
I believe this to be a fact. The same things happened under previous administrations, but we heard nothing from the Democrats. Why...? Because either they were in power and knew they would get a pass from the media; or they were fully invested in a different wedge issue and did not want to dilute their message (It is draining to be continually outraged.) If you doubt me, tell me which of the many Democrat wedge issues was addressed, let alone resolved when the Democrats held both legislative bodies and the White House? I won't hold my breath.
