Lt Col (Join to see) Chaplain Tisher, I am not an Airman, but I have extensive experience working in demanding environments:

1. Know your MOS, so that you are the go to person. Share your knowledge by mentoring others.
2. Be a planner, and be prepared. If you have a presentation to give, do as many dry runs as needed to make sure the equipment works, and you are prepared. Always think about a backup plan.
3. Be a forward thinker. What job do you want in ten years. Obtain the needed education and skills for that job. Never stop learning and continuing your education.
4. Have a good attitude and work hard every day.
5. Plan to arrive ten minutes early for every appointment or job. Being late is not acceptable.
6. You only have so many years to work before you retire. Save, learn about investing and invest. Use discounts and coupons.
7. Have integrity in all aspects of your life.
8. Everyone makes mistakes. Learn from them, so you do not make the same mistake twice.
