I'm a 15 year survivor of a near fatal TBI (I flat-lined twice from grand mal seizures post-op) The research is extensive regarding the increased risk of Parkinson's, dementia, epilepsy and Alzheimer's for people that have had Traumatic Brain Injuries. Many of the Veterans diagnosed with PTS actually have traumatic brain injuries and that is why they never seem to get better after years of psychotherapy. I received 40 hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) "dives" and witnessed a dramatic positive shift in my cognition.
