Tell me and we will both know. I went because I was ordered to go and did so willingly but never understood why other than keeping terrorism on someone else piece of dirt.

That's how I look at it. Wasted money to kill them in their own backyard.

Oh it was a good selling point. Al Qaeda and Bin Laden were clearly there as Intel reported; cause we can always trust the intelligence community to be accurate as meteorologist. Only winner was defense contract industry.

Sir, Why the bash the Intel community I am apart of we are hardworking individuals? We are doing are jobs to the best of our ability just like everyone else, you are asking us to predict the future which unless I have a DeLorean time machine and a sports almanac can sometimes come up wrong. You are right that the clear winner was the defense contract industry in both Iraq and Afghanistan. Now, here is a follow on question. Iraq War just what was the point? Was it not the Intel of surrounding countries that said Saddam did not have WMDs? Here is one where you can bash the Intel community because I had no part in that and from day 1 I believed he did not have WMDs. I think everyone would have been happier if pictures came out with a camel carrying a nuke.

SSG (Join to see) - Actually I'm just criticizing the Intel community of the Bush era that failed to stand up to Bush and Cheney like they do today.

The point was for me at the ground was unknown.
If we could have gotten OBL in the mountains and then pulled out everything would have been fine.
Classic example of mission creep
