After killings, Pentagon added thousands of dishonorable discharge cases to FBI database

A few months ago a DIS HONORABLY discharged USAF Veteran went to a church just south of San Antoino and shot up the church killing 26 folks to include small children and one lady who was pregnant. The USAF admitted they messed up by not reporting this guy to the FBI. Had the USAF reported him, this guy would not have been able to purchase all of the weapons he did....at least not legally.
Because of this mass Killing, the Pentagon has gone through their files to make sure others did not fall through the cracks. The FBI data base has now grown larger and will likely continue to grow.
It is a SHAME that it took a TRAGEDY to get the Military/Pentagon to report these folks who should have been reported in the first place.

Sgt Kelli Mays, I remember this very well. I remember hearing this nut job slipped through the cracks. I was appalled that something like this was because some clerk and his/her superiors didn’t think about doing it. I remember the reports that most of the people were shot multiple times and in the head, while he was staring at them in their eyes. I do hope and pray that this never happens again because somebody screwed the pooch, dropped the ball, whatever euphemism is appropriate.

I'm thinking this was why I got delayed from picking up my rifle over christmas. Glad they are getting it straight.
