I obvioisly perceive the point, and it is novel, esp the aspect about the birds with fire, of course...I just wonder if the process could have been evolutionarily selected as a learned survival trait, though I suppose that defeats the intentionality arguments obvioisly...I just wonder if intentionality might not constitute anthropomorphization, to some extent, you know? I could be wrong, of course, and oral history, as well as cultural heritage are useful bases for serious science, in any event...I just wonder about cognition in birds...I've seen cockatoos on YouTube playing with toys unclear PR at least apparent manifestations of interest, they evidently have the intelligence of a four year old their entire ligesz once mature...all admit, good catch, obviously...

‘Indigenous’ vs ‘Scientific’ knowledge aside... i’d be more interested if the birds were MAKING fire.
