"Janice Brooks worked for international brokerage firm Euro Brokers in the South Tower of the World Trade Center complex, having only moved to New York from London just weeks before the events of September 11th 2001.
Janice worked on the 84th floor of Two World Trade Center, managing to escape after learning of a plane hitting the adjacent tower, while 61 of her EuroBrokers colleagues unfortunately did not.
She tells the story of the books of remembrance that was created as a memorial to her colleagues and how it helped her and others deal with what happened.
Janice has since returned to the UK, now living just outside of London in Essex and working in Canary Wharf. Janice is working closely with UK educational charity SINCE 9/11 to help younger generations understand the events and impact of the 9/11 attacks."
