This headline is misleading. The article states that all the A-10's did was a show of force (do a fly-by and launch flares) The fighting was done by Afghan A-29's, MI-17's and a US Reaper. The A-10's must have their own marketing department.

The A-10s capacity for carrying cannon rounds is significantly higher than the fighter planes. It is ridiculous to compare the two.
