A good quote straight from the General:
"While I am absolutely confident this is the right decision, I am equally confident a good portion of our officer corps will be skeptical. Given all the turmoil & instability of the past several yrs, trust in senior ldrshp on these issues in not high."
That sounds like a breath of fresh air from a General who realizes he is in a bad spot due to predecessors & really is trying to get it straight.

Good idea especially since so most officers now deploy and have trouble going to school.
I was a cop selected for BTZ promotion to Major back when they had below-the-zone promotions. The last thing I needed to do was to go to school. I didn't have to but did finish up PME via correspondence.

Actually I would imagine most officers at the O-4 level and below would appreciate this.

Maj Kevin "Mac" McLaughlin I agree. I think CSAF hit it on the head expecting there to be resistance, but, in the long run, it'll be realized as a very good thing. He's taking great steps to improve the quality of the force. He realizes he can't to a sweeping move, cuz then he loses all of the top brass.
By making small moves, he can earn the trust of the senior officers to buy in to the changes.
I like how he is working from the top down, and CMSgtAF is working from the bottom up. This is a WONDERFUL plan to attack the best that the horrid morale has become.
