We need to make it a joint venture with cyber security to make sure no one tries to stop our progress! Maybe?

There used to be a “Space Force” a few years ago. It was known as the 6595th ATW. It was part of the SAMTEC and SAMSO organization. They also worked with NSA, DoD, NORAD and NASA doing “stuff.” They were also aligned with AFLC Detachment 41 from Hill AFB, Utah as well as MDAC, TRW, Rockwell, Avdo and others as well as the Navy’s ballistic missile office and the Army’s ballistic missile defense division. Used to work with these folks. For reasons I never quite understood the Carter administration decided to re-org the USAF in order to save money. There were a number of projects that wound up being underfunded and some that were ultimately canned.
