Hell I might have stayed in for this - been flying civilian drones for fun for a while now and I'm sure I could do it in the military side.

Thanks for sharing the news Kanika Misra that has chosen 10 enlisted airmen to begin training as pilots for the first time since World War II. These "airmen were selected as part of a program that will allow them to fly the RQ-4 Global Hawk, an unmanned intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance aircraft."
Hopefully they will be trained on navigation and evading enemy observation and targeting among other things.
FYI. I know a couple drone pilots who have participated in strikes for different government agencies authorized to execute kills when sanctioned.

Actually that's not true, the last enlisted to go through pilot training was during Vietnam, not WWII. I was stationed, in the 70S, with a rifled pilot that was in the actual last enlisted cadet program. He went through pilot training as a SSgt in the 60's. He was a Capt. When he was rifled.
