Air Force suicides reached record high in 2019

The first time I was anywhere close to a suicide was when I was in Boot in San Diego. I was there about two weeks and was on night watch, when a gent in the next barracks hung himself. Navy Boot was not that bad, in my opinion. I think it was due to the times, when young men had never been away from home for an extended time and were in very unfamiliar surroundings. Drug use was not that prevalent at that time in that age bracket.

Seems the problem keeps getting worse.
