Seems there us always blame for someone other than the one who started the mess. Typical that personal responsibility for one's actions and their consequences is always shifted to others.

The NFL, specifically, underestimated the backlash. Many, especially Veterans, especially me, take their protest during the Anthem PERSONALLY. THERE are about 180 minutes during a game. Only 3 are set aside for the anthem, celebration of service, and remembrance of time past. There are 177 other minutes that will not upset others. But they PERSIST TO THEIR OWN DETRIMENT. I haven’t watched a single game this year and while not either as long as a single player takes a knee.
