TSgt Joe C., when this song was released in 1991, I was Alan Jackson's next door neighbor (one of six)! Alan was just starting to make it big, so he bought a modest house ($2 million) in the Liberty Downs subdivision of Brentwood, TN. He lived on a five acre estate. His home was built on the foundation of the original structure built by Green Hill in the late 1700s. Hill is considered the founder of Methodism in Tennessee. The rest of us lived on one acre lots adjacent. The photo is of the home and surrounding acreage. It's a poor one, but the best that I could find online. We met Alan and Denise, and Denise actually gave my wife a tour of their home, as they had just refurbished it.
One of the co-writers of this song was Keith Stegall. He was our Sunday School teacher for a time at our church. Many don't know that Keith had considered going to the seminary before music took him in a different direction! LTC Stephen F.
