The decision has been made, so it's now a matter of executing it as well as possible. Good on the Marine Corps for putting it out there. Here is a quote from the article:

"There's no doubt we're leading cultural change. It's not the first time for the Marine Corps, but we like a challenge," said Brig. Gen. James Glynn, director of the Marine Corps' office of communication. "The purpose of the mobile training team is to begin to facilitate the cultural change ... you've got to have the conversation."

"Weinberg said the mobile training teams, which will include her and other Marine officers who have participated in the Corps' planning to place women in combat roles, will go to all units, not just the one-third directly affected by combat integration."

"Unconscious bias" training... sounds more like "ignore common sense" training...

Until SecDef and SecNav change the mission on the Marine Corps...
Until the mission of the basic rifleman changes...
Until DI's issue cute little blue or pink bows to place atop the cover of boot camp & OCS graduates...
Until all these things are done, the Commandant has his orders. I expect resistance and misogynistic commentary will continue. We can hold RP-monitored debates 'til the cows come home. It won't change a thing. To this, I applaud the Corps for addressing the issue squarely and proactively. May we take the lessons learned in garrison forward to the enemy on the field of battle!
Carry On!

Thanks for posting, Sgt Aaron Kennedy, MS!
