SFC John Jackson They're Not Exactly Cheap and if You Sink It with the First Shot? What Then? Don't Know if They Still Do It Like in My Day but the Goal used to be as Close as You Could Without Hitting It until the Very End and then we would let the 50 Cal and 60 Cal Gunners Strafe It. Actually Most of the Time on Any Range with the 5 inch 54 they used to shoot Under the Target with the Killer Tomato it would Bounce Out of the Water if You Did that Close Enough and with Army Vehicles on San Clemente Island They Would Slide Down the Cliff when You Shot the Dirt Out from Under Them, If You Were Lucky after Several Shots You Could watch them Slide into the Ocean.

SFC John Jackson You're a "Weapons" Guy, That Weapon on the Bataan wasn't onboard any Ship that I know of When I Retired, What the Hell is That!

Looks to me like a GE electric 20mm mounted above some type of 40mm ish cannon. Also, looks to have a laser guidance system. There was a class of these 20mm that the Army was working on called the Sgt York. Last I heard they had scrapped that weapons system.
