Denmark surrendered to Germany and we occupied the Danish colonies of Iceland and Greenland. Had they beaten us there their subs would have been much better supplied

Thanks for sharing PO1 Tony Holland. Yes, indeed "between September 1939 and December 1941, the United States moved from neutral to active belligerent in an undeclared naval war against Nazi Germany. During those early years the British could well have lost the Battle of the Atlantic.'
We used our convoys to move an amazing amount of war materiel and basic food stuffs, machinery, etc to Great Britain to support their populace as well as the war effort against Nazi Germany.
