IMHO. Hendricks is silly for wanting fewer catapults. uh there are still other aircraft that need the cat's to get off the carrier. More cat's mean everyone gets into the air quicker and therefore has closer to the same fuel load. Meaning less fuel to top off and quicker mission time.... Replacing Carriers with more Subs ??? What was he drinking the night before this article ???

Oh man, PO3 (Join to see), I'm glad I'm not the only one who had that impression!

John is a friend of mine, and is on point. It is not for you judge him, as you are generations apart.

LCpl Donald Faucett - Don't know who you're talking about, since the author's name is Dave. And he is most definitely NOT on point. Secondly, I'll judge who I like, when I like. It's not for YOU to say whether I can or not. Finally, I'm older than I look. Not that it matters.

We are 20 trillion dollars in debt... we need to cut cost and to build new useless toys just to have them is pointless. Especially if they is a cheaper and more practical design already there. The DOD waste money like rich kid with a never ending allowance... but eventually it has to be put in check. I am all for a strong defense, but spend the money wisely.

I agree with you. The Air Force used to think that using money wisely was to cancel the 8:10 put it in Moss balls and keep flying ever buggy and ever heavier and slower f-35s instead to do the same job lol.

Correction I meant the warthog and putting it at Davis-Monthan to rot. Sorry but I'm using my voice text on my smartphone

I'm with both of you. The F-35 really reveals the tragedy of the modern (archaic) defense acquisition process.
