I'd stick with the Jeep myself.

Fond memories of driving a jeep in Germany - thing could go anywhere (though some black ice put us in a ditch).

I have ridden in both, and recall one thing that stood hands and feet above the Army Jeep. The later German Army heaters were a gasoline powered heater, they could run when the engine was off so you could have heat anywhere. I could not always do that with the Jeep.
