I guess all the people that want to see President Trump fail, will celebrate over articles like this.

It's not a question of "wanting" him to fail......I'd like to see him get his act together and do good things for the country. It's more a case of "expecting" him to fail, because his head and his heart are not in the right place......they never have been.......in his mind, it's all about him and his status. All you have to do is listen to him speak when he gets in front of a crowd to know that.......

SSgt Gary Andrews - I think the Rank and file Democrats should use their collective voices, and tell the Democratic Hierarchy to start working group together with the Republicans and the White house. Remember President Trump wasn't always a Conservative. This Scorched Trump Policy is wearing very thin. Even my hardcore Democrat co-workers are starting to echo their dislike of the democratic parties hate Trump mentality.

SP5 Christine Conley - I think it's time for the younger Generation to take over. These holdovers from the 60's are full of envy and revenge towards each other that they don't care about the rest of us caught in the middle.

Obviously, bullying corporate executives only works until the bean counters decide that profits are more important than maintaining the good will of a President. Labor is not the only cost of doing business. America has three areas in which it is more cost effective to do business than any other nation on earth. First, business located in America are closest to the markets for their products. Thus, transportation is a nominal cost compared to shipping goods from distant ports. Secondly, those transportation costs also affect the cost of getting raw materials to manufacturing plants. America is rich in natural resources while many other nations such as China, Japan, et al are poor in them. Thirdly, energy, a very significant cost, especially in manufacturing, is far cheaper in America than anywhere else. The economies to be achieved in these three areas more than compensate for the high cost of American labor, especially as robots replace humans doing most repetitive tasks. So what's the problem? The costs of taxation and government compliance are extraordinarily high in America. If President Trump can force Congress to drive these costs down, businesses and jobs will come pouring back to America. Even better, new businesses will sprout up as they once did before government became the enemy of entrepreneurs.

Businesses and corporations been getting tax breaks for decades. Not buying that logic. They just want to increase profit margin with lower labor and manufacturing costs regardless of location and tax laws.

MAJ James Woods - Not buying the "logic" huh? Well, there's no logic to it. Simple fact. Which do you suppose is cheaper? Transporting your goods across the state or across an ocean? Transporting your raw materials locally or internationally? Paying for energy stored under your feet or purchased from cartels half-way around the world? Now, look at corporate tax rates in America compared to subsidies offered by Japanese and Chinese governments. Well, you go right ahead parroting that tired old mantra of "corporate tax breaks". Yes, I know that Congress legislates to favor large corporations at the expense of small business. I know the history of political entrepreneurship vs commercial entrepreneurship and that we would be better off with free markets rather than government regulated markets. But that's precisely what I was talking about in my original comment.

Conservatives are the ones that preach lower tax rates and greater benefits to businesses will motivate them to grow their businesses, increase employment, create competition domestically and internationally. Instead, they keep downsizing, push for cheaper labor, cheaper resources and rather import more of their products into the US as opposed to exporting to other countries. So yeah, I'm not fully buying your entire argument; just certain aspects of it.

I think you hit that one on the head, as far as fear ceasing to be a factor.
But as others have said the penalties of taxation are overstated.
BTW transporting something from Mexico costs very little when you van do so by rail, and when you consider Ships even more so, most of the cost is in the last few miles, And that wouldd be the same if the source was in Mexico , Mongolia or Cleveland.
You also seem to be assuming that the US is the m only or even the main market.

I notice that all of these companies are in blue States. Hmmm. Gonna be interesting to see how Boring is gonna deal with an out of country supplier. Don't think that will fly on their military contracts.

Illinois is not a blue state. Governor is GOP. Legislature is Dem controlled. HRC won state but Trump won more counties. Indiana, Texas, and Michigan aren't blue either.
