American Legion Cuts Staff by 15 Percent in Restructuring

This is, in part, forced by the slide in membership. With the reduction of military forces, membership in Veterans organizations has also slid. Technology has allowed posts to directly enter membership which adjutants will be doing for the first time this year. As a result of this change, membership fees will be immediately deducted from post checking account without finance officers having to send in checks.
