She is correct about groups such as AMVETS but also the American Legion, VFW and DAV on assistance to returning Veterans. These organizations all have people whose specif purpose it it to assist veterans with claims etc. and many other things. These are veterans assisting their fellow Veterans. Even local post have people to help, I'm the Post Service Officer in my own American Legion Post of Course the State Reps have a lot more experience in assisting Vets and the specific help that that is available. Massachusetts though is one state that within the scope of the Secretary of Veteran's affair for the state each and every city and Town in Massachusetts has a Veteran's service agent on the municipal payroll to assist veterans. The resources are there don't hesitate to use them.
