I believe we can all relate to this letter. I strongly wish that everyone who have never served could see and hear this,, Having been an MTI I saw the camaraderie and fellowship happen every six weeks. Watching prejudice and hate disappear as each new trainee learned that they were all pretty much the same. There is no place for racism in the service we all depend on each other for our very survival.

I agree totally. During Basic, people who might not have spoken to each other due to cultural differences, united against a common enemy (our MTI, LOL) just to prove them wrong! The military for all it's challenges is still the Great Unifier. Proud to have served in such an organization...
