I have found a number of silver linings.
The kids and I have rediscovered board games. My youngest can't get enough of Monopoly, but with the six of us those games are LONG.
I'm not spending money on stupid stuff, and thanks to being still at work (although my wife is not thanks to maternity leave), I'm paying down a lot of debt.
It is a lot easier to find time for PT - or at least harder to find excuses not to.
I got all the stuff for the new baby put together. Hard to believe he'll be here in less than a week.
I talk to my mom way more than I usually do.
My kids talk to me way more than they usually do, too.
Being a teacher for the kids has been a challenge, but wow is it rewarding. It is fascinating watching my youngest's mind work through abstract concepts like poetry.
In other words, all this sucks, but God blesses us even in times of trouble.
