There are currently about three million nurses in the United States. The country will need to produce more than one million new registered nurses by 2022 to fulfill its health care needs, according to the American Nurses Association estimates.

Nurses are also in demand for the military. Many ROTC scholarships are specifically allocated for nursing majors.

I was pretty surprised when I read the headline because I knew that nurses are in demand but I guess if they don't have the class space yet that makes sense to turn them away. Hopefully they get it fixed.
