The Tricare loopholes and fake compound prescriptions scam continues... not only costing taxpayers money but also exploiting servicemembers. It's a double black eye that keeps coming back.
The latest story involves a pharmaceutical company,Choice MD, that targeted Marines from Camp Pendleton under the guise of "participation in drug trials." However the compound creams were fake and Tricare paid Choice MD $14,500 a piece for these creams while the Marines involved received $300 as compensation. It's a similar scheme to "Healing for Heroes" scam last year in Washington state. (See
