This is great Memorial Site for Veterans who served at anytime in the United States Military from Revolutionary War to the present day. You can have a plaque placed up for those you know , your friends , relatives living or in memory of the deceased. You can do one for yourself. Pat Tillman , Senator John McCain plaques are memorialized here. I placed 1 Civil war "G.G.Great Grandfather Lester Winters , 1 Spanish American War Great Grandfather Frank S Allen , 1 WWII War Ellsworth A Westgate "My Dad" and a plaque up there for myself " Navy & AZNG" . ( How to get a plaque up) ?? You can contact the Yuma City Chamber of Commerce with DD214 and pay a small fee to get a plaque up as well they have small ceremony for about 5 minutes.

Id say there's at least 3000 plus plaques on that wall, the property was donated and the project was started by - Sergeant Major Art Nottingham, USMC (RET)
Sergeant Major Nottingham enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1956. After graduation from MCRD, San Diego, and following four weeks of Advanced Combat Training at Camp Pendleton, Private Nottingham was designated a Rifleman and was assigned additional duties with the Military Police. Corporal Nottingham left active duty in April of 1959 but continued his service in the USMCR.

Yuma's Armed Forces Memorial Park is located at the site of the old Yuma railroad depot. The only park of its type in Arizona, one of the most unique features about the Armed Forces Park is that it has been designed to honor ALL military veterans, living and deceased, no matter which branch of service. To be honored with a plaque, a person needs only to have served in one of the military branches, whether two years ago or 50. The plaques are made of solid granite. Each is eight inches high and 16 inches wide. Each plaque is individually engraved with the person's name, rank, dates of service, and includes his or her service emblem
