Have no sympathy for him, it's not like the penalties for plagiarism aren't covered at the beginning of War College.

Zero sympathy
Tens of thousands Enlisted personnel busted there butt to earn degrees while still performing daily assigned duties, while deployed, writing papers after CQ.
In between feeding the baby trying to scrape up something for dinner feeding the dogs and taking out the garbage.
This guy gets assigned to a school house for the sole purpose of his education and earning a degree, it literally was his job to do it.
And still he took a shortcut
I think he got off easy, as a board member I would’ve looked at the next rank after war College
Would he have been promoted to colonel after being caught and kicked out of war college?
The answer of course is no and therefore none of the follow on promotions would’ve been possible either. He would have topped out a LTC, or perhaps an angry major had he been punished for his transgressions.
Retirement rank should’ve been reduced to his last successfully earned rank

Don't understand why someone like that would piss away a remarkable career for being lazy. All the great and wonderful things he has done were just wiped away by the one he screwed up.
