This commentary is flawed in one respect. The Army Corps Of Engineers have no duties or responsibilities for anything to do with medicine or in the medical field. There was no need to associate the Corps with the virus directly. The Corps has the mission to dredge rivers open for commercial traffic, Rail Road designs and construction, Hydro Electric Damns, the Interstate Hwy. System, Air Port and Air Fields designs, ship yard design, Navel seaport facilities and the list is almost endless. Reconstruction of buildings as above. yup! Their employees are mostly civilian contractors.

No problem calling for help from the Corps. I hope he does not think the (Army Corps of Engineer's) is in fact an Army of 10,000 U.S. Army construction workers. Officer and enlisted as some people may in vision.

I see no issues with his request. I think this request was made some time ago. The Corps. will issue contracts with construction companies and this helps putting people back to work.
