The Drill Sergeaocommentsxwere indeed inappropriate, even though most would agree. You, Sir comments are equally inappropriate. Just exactly how much military experience do you actually possess?

Could you kindly explain why my comment was inappropriate? I enlisted in the Army in August 21st 2011. I have over 9 years of service with 8 of those years as an enlisted soldier/NCO.

I don’t know what kind of units you’ve been a part of but my NCOs taught me from day one that I must follow all order unless they are illegal, unethical or immoral. I was also taught that my feelings or opinions about the orders my superiors issued were irrelevant (unless it fell into one of the above categories).

Now it’s been a few years since I was an NCO but I don’t think the NCO Corps has stopped preaching this. When soldiers get orders from their superiors, unless those orders are illegal, immoral or unethical, they are to click their heels and go execute.

He will keep his stripes and I doubt he gets more than a stern counseling.

SGT Joseph Gunderson - I've seen fake "stress cards" before. There a plenty of Soldiers who say the stress cards never existed including me. I served in TRADOC too. If this makes you feel better or somehow superior, have at it.

1SG (Join to see) I am superior to many people, but this doesn't count among the reasons as to why.

SFC William Farrell - They confiscate the cell phones upon recruit arrival and they are locked in a cabinet. When it comes time for that call home they unlock the cabinet and redistribute them for the phone call..............then collect the phones again for lock up. The people that state on Rally Point that the Army is easier in BCT have not been to a BCT post in decades nor have they reviewed the changes made. Not sure why that is because it is open to the public if you ask.....every part of today's BCT via Public Affairs can be observed if you want. I have seen these posts over and over again by people that graduated after me from Combat Arms training. I could outline for them how their training was much easier then mine was but it would not be honest.

SFC William Farrell this is, IMHO, one of the down sides of technology combined with basic ignorance! Drills in my day just ‘called out’ our weaknesses and if you didn’t meet their standards, they got rid of you! I started Badic with 200 females. Only 125 actually graduated and no one was recycled!
