I am glad that Army dwell time is holding at 3 years for most soldiers SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL. I recognize there are some high demand low density specialties that require more frequent call up for deployment. Hopefully there are trained soldiers in the pipeline to make up for the shortfall.

LTC Stephen F. I am glad to hear this just as well. I remember the Iraq surge and you was lucky to get 12 months time on station (2003-2007).

Well this article is a little skewed as it depends on what unit you belong to. I know folks who are deploying for the 2nd time in 18 months.

Same with me when I spent a year in south Korea. 1970/1971. Sent to fort Carson. Spent 3 years there and then sent to 3rd ad. Made wo1 there.
