Thanks for sharing SPC Britanny *Winnie* Balthaser It is always good news when something valuable which was lost is actually recovered.
A number of year ago the tradition of melting rings down and using the gold to create new rings for cadets 50 years later to reduce the costs because cadets purchase their own rings.
For several decades my West Point class and others have been posting information about lost, stolen and discovered class rings.
There have been some occasions where people have chipped in to re-purchase a ring for family members of their deceased father from a pawn shop, ebay or some other place. On occasion the police have returned a stolen ring.
