The U.S. Army is investigating a former trainee’s claim that his Idaho recruiter told him to hide his medical conditions when enlisting.
The man’s Army medical provider is recommending a medical discharge for the 19-year-old Twin Falls High School graduate, according to correspondence between the Army and U.S. Sen. Jim Risch’s office.
The man asked that his name and medical conditions not be revealed.

I know you're all likely to wonder at my saying this, however, quite honestly, with all the recruiters I saw before I'd gone in for USAF OTS, I honestly never encountered that sort of thing...now, that being said,.I'm by no means surprised, however, I never personally encountered that, or anything even vaguely similar...I'm not saying it doesn't happen, anymore than that whole "quota" thing I've heard about like some old chestnut for yrs on end, however, all the recruiters I ever met were honest...some were more informed than others, esp about other svcs than their own, some I should've listened to more when they told me I was going into the USAF the wrong way, I'll certainly admit, I've said that on here many times, however, overt duplicitousness of any kind, that I just never personally ran across, that's all I'm saying, for whoever that might be worth....
