So, we were wondering the halls of the Association of the United States Army's Annual Meeting in Washington, DC....and look what we found! What do you think about these WWII Retro Dress Uniforms the Army is thinking about rolling out in the future (yeah, we know they've been thinking about this for years....we're kinda hoping they roll with it).

My take on this is to use this in place of the ASU's. Go back to the Khakis for a garrison uniform while using the OCP/Scorpion/whatever they want to call it for a field uniform. This actually should've been the uniform to replace the green dress uniform and left the Blues for a more formal attire.

I like the shirts and ties. Anything would be better than the white shirt. Well nearly anything that is.

My issues with the Army uniforms has more to do with poor tailoring and fit than anything else. If they will tailor the jackets, slacks etc (not just hem them) and ensure a good fit that would make any uniform look better. I know snug tailoring means you have to maintain weight which seems to be an issue these days.

That is one of the reasons the Marine Corps tailors uniforms and makes you wear them regularly. The fat bodies will not fit in them properly and it costs a fair amount of money to have them tailored all the time. If you buy bigger sizes you will get caught on the height and weight check to or you can get gigged on the military appearance catch all.
