This was and is about the most inane act of poor judgement and leadership in the history of the National Guard or any other of the armed forces. It boggles the mind someone would even try this for any reason no matter how bureaucratic and frozen their military minds may be.

Many good people and businesses have left California over the past decade because of the insane and self-defeating policies of the California statehouse and governor's mansions SP5 Mark Kuzinski.
Hopefully the rest if the sane people will emigrate from California soon. I certainly hope the CA ARNG will be purged of all who were involved in inflicting this despicable action against the soldiers of the CA ARNG.

There should clearly be a statute of limitations on this matter. Money paid out and accepted a decade ago is long spent - and it is the government's error in the first place, not the soldier that only accepted that which was offered.
