"Marckesano’s suicide was the 30th from this battalion." So tragic. We should all pause to think about who we should be reaching out to for a check in. Even the strongest are not immune to suicide risk.

Those who are checking on others also need someone to check on them. That's where this failed.
He was everyone else's "go to" but he didn't have anyone from the unit watching out for him
