Gee, new uniforms, new PT test and now a new shiny thing for the uniform. What next? Berets for everyone? Oh wait....

Plenty of beret color options to help ensure feel good/inclusiveness. Glad many weighed in when someone tried to use the wrong crayon when the preliminary design for the assistance brigade's ensemble was first being pitched.

Don't understand why today's army is messing around with a tradition that has been in place for years just to say this is better. Better for who? Better to let things like awards alone and update the firepower in order to make today's army, a better fighting army!

This does NOT mean that the recipient is an "Expert in their career field." They are proficient in basic soldiering tasks - much like the SQT testing and training did a thousand years ago. The Admin troop in S1 with this is not necessarily an "expert admin troop" - nor would the mechanic be an "expert mechanic" with this badge.

Oh, this is sad.
