So basically we're getting closer and closer to going back to the Woodland BDU of the 80s and 90s. Amazing how that works out.

It's like fashion, everything comes full circle sooner or later. I'm still waiting to see the tight roll on the jeans.

SSG Diane R. - Me too. A few sets still have their starched creases in them.

Kerry, I must be showing my age. When I first joined we had the blue and white tags and insignia!

Enough of the Velcro and suede boots already.
Time to go back to BDUs and black boots you can make look like new with a bit of kiwi.

Black boots are stupid for a variety of reasons. The only good reason to have them is appearance, which honestly, is stupid. Black doesn't blend into any natural environment. Polished boots in a utility uniform is just dumb. Regardless of appearance, full leather combat boots provide zero support for rucking. We've only just begun and the whole idea has already gone to crap. But, hey.... you'd get to spend three hours on sunday polishing enough boots to get you through the week, so there's that.... you don't like having spare time anyway.
