SSgt (Join to see) - yeah the air buds were just insult to injury for while you couldn't even transfer them over when you upgraded my cousin was complaining about that, that's why he went and got a S8

From what I understand though this variant has an external safety which is very comforting to me.

PFC (Join to see) - No. We had 9MM. The admin said it was because responses to dorms & wouldn't want to penetrate walls. I think it was more of a budgetary thing, cuz we wanted 40 or 45 when we first started reviewing replacements...lol

SSgt (Join to see) - yeah that doesn't sound right my uncle he uses 40 cal because less penetration over in Washington state troopers.

We should stick with the M9. How many insurgents were killed with a pistol in OIF/OEF? The money spent on this pistol could be used on more M240L to replace M240B machine guns

SFC (Join to see) yeah, but they've spent 10 years on this, so they're going to push forward with it anyways. I know I hated the M9 as a LE specialist. Did I use it when I was patrolling the missile fields? No. Wasn't even issued to me. Perhaps its a way to lighten the load (even if in minuscule amounts) on members carrying it w/ everything else?
