Army Unveils New 'Accident-Proof' Combat Uniform

The uniform has been in the works for 15 years, and will soon be fielded to elite soldiers deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan, according to an Army spokesman.
“Whether you’re working in the motor pool or conducting clandestine night raids in the ISIS-infested mountains of northern Syria, the totally reflective camouflage pattern will keep you safe and sound,” the Army spokesman told Task & Purpose. “It’s also 100% cotton!”

SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL Of real interest to me was the insert w/ the description of PFC Patrick Miller's determination and courage on 23 MAR 2003, at the bottom of the page w/ the new fail-safe uniform.
PFC Miller's actions certainly deserved the Silver Star he was awarded! Our young Soldiers are so capable when called upon!

SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL I hope that the 'Accident-Proof' combat uniform is only reflective or absorbent to non-visible sensors such as infrared, ultra-violet, sonar and radar. If it is reflective to the naked eye it would be easy to spot. The soldier in the picture would make a great target unfortunately.
This seems better suited to a uniform for hunters so that they would not shoot each other.
