SGT Aaron Atwood - I read that the military currently pays over $800 per M4. (clean) Being they're all FN's or older Colts I wouldn't call them low end.

I want to know what the trigger and selector are doing to cause this. I'm not sure I can wrap my head around it without seeing it. Inquiring minds want to know! LOL

Me too. I am guessing that a proper functions check wasn’t conducted prior to firing the weapon or placing it in the Armory?

Something's getting caught between the hammer, selector, and sear, and is releasing the hammer once the selector is in a burst position. Just off the top of my head.

SGT Aaron Atwood - I'm thinking it has to be a machining burr or something like that. I assume (hate to do it!) that it initially passed QA/QC and it developed as it wore. I'm just not seeing it mechanically though.
