So even the WW2 vets are claiming to be that which they are not. Is it Stolen Valor, or something else? Simple fraud? It's even more embarrassing that the ones who figured this out were the French, making it a bit of an international embarrassment.

Thanks for sharing SSG (Join to see), its happened in every war and I think more so with the Vietnam War where a lot of the people who avoided the draft and took cushy stateside positions and even vets who served but did not wind up in Vietnam, regret having not served in theater.
And Lt Klein has a Purple Heart and Bronze Star Medal from actual service. He had every reason to be extremely proud of his service. Go figure what happens in their minds.

Even at 96 you can be a douche. I wonder if this started out by someone assuming he was at D-Day and he liked the way it felt and the lie grew and grew over the years.
