All this experience gone. And yes I know you can promote younger and more agile troops to fill the ranks, but a certain level of experience won't be met by promoting for the hell of it. Some of the basics that make Soldiers what they are beyond the battlefield are lost and those who taught them now civilians. Ask a troop to move a formation, and you get that look. Ask them for other D&C and anything past the PT formations and it's a wrap. The Army is to maintain the peace and win at war. We're damn good at them, but we need to bring the old "retarded" garrison Army no one liked back, blending it with wartime tasks to build a more all around Soldier who can adapt and excel n both worlds.
